3 Private Camp Questions Topic

Is each invited recruit scouted to Level 3?
Are results immediate or scheduled (ex: provided 24 hours later)?
Can I schedule multiple private camps or are they one and done? For example, can I dip my toe in the water for 50 recruits at $3K and do another camp for another 50 recruits?

Thank you in advance.

Each recruit is scouted 2 levels when you use the private camp

Results are scheduled. And it's set to run every 3 hours i'm pretty sure. When you schedule the camp, it will show the time that the camp will run.

Can only schedule one time. However, if its scheduled for 11pm, you have until 10:59pm to cancel it and re-think your decision. And you can apply to run again whenever you choose to (with a different number of recruits or the same number of recruits if you like). But once the camp runs, that's it.

Yes - you only get one camp for your school.

One PRIVATE camp ... any number of public camps.

Thank you for the information. I had a quick follow up question. Is there a typical rule of thumb on the max radius for private camps (ex: 500 miles, etc)? I want to first scout by state then conduct a private camp to get as many as I can afford to Level 3. To get the best bang for my buck I don't want to scout too few or too many states prior to the private camp.

Private camps are attended by recruits within 500 miles of your campus.

If you are worried about scouting unnecessary states, I suggest running the camp first. Once the camp runs you can see who attended and what states they are from. Then when you scout those states the recruits who attended the camp will be at level 3 .

...unless you are at a way-out school (Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.) I seem to remember getting west coast kids to attend my Hawaii private camp. I would have been fairly miffed about spending thousands of dollars to get to Level 2 on the handful of local recruits kicking around. I don't remember now so I'm asking as much as telling.

That's definitely not the case, at least anymore. I just had 9 players attend my Alaska camp in a state with 13 players (the other 4 players are more than 500 miles away and did not attend the camp). You only pay for the number of players that show up though. My 9 player camp only cost me $540.

Not every player within the 500 mile radius of your school from the divisions you select attends the camp.

OK, I had forgotten...but that does show there is not a hard 500 mile cap on the remote school since you got 4 recruits outside of the perimeter.

No I only got the 9 who were within the 500 miles. The 4 Alaska recruits who were further away than that did not attend my camp.

They do if there are fewer than the number of attendees you attempt to get to attend.

There's a bug that occasionally pops up such that if you schedule a camp in one of the middle of the night time slots, the camp may get scheduled for 27 hours from now instead of 3 hours. CS says it is a feature, not a bug. Regardless, it is something to double check when scheduling your private camp. If you cancel it and then schedule again after the 3 hour mark that it should have run, it will be scheduled for the next 3 hour slot (e.g., schedule private camp at 1am on 1/10, it should run at 2am on 1/10 (in an hour), but is scheduled to run in fact at 2am on the following day of 1/11. If you wait until 2:05am on 1/10, then you can schedule it and it will run at 5am on 1/10).

It will also show you how many campers are planning to attend (if fewer than the requested number are within 500 miles) and the associated cost, so that allows you to reconsider and cancel if more/less show up than you would like.
