I have been playing Hoops Dynasty for a couple years now, and took a break for a little, just started back up. I really enjoy it, and feel I have learned all fascets of the game pretty well... except gameplanning. In my couple years playing, I have never won a game when I was evenly matched and or an underdog. I only tend to win when my team is considerably better than my opponent. Obviously, I am not doing something right with gameplanning, otherwise i would assume i would win sometimes when I was evenly matched, or pulled off an upset at least once. I realize there is way too much that goes into gameplanning, that anyone could put in a reply to this post. But, at the least, does anyone have any "basics" or general suggestions... Or does anyone have a link to go to read up on gameplanning help? Thanks!!!

Sent you some game planning thoughts via site mail that actually were from a specific site mail from a tem running Triangle and M2M. Some may not apply for your team. Feel free to ask specific questions, but I will have no answers for any questions involving Zone defense. Have run it a total of a half season over my entire career here in WIS and lost just about every game I played using it. There are enough Zone experts out in forum land that somebody more qualified can answer those.

I'm definetly not a zone expert but if you are interested in understanding some concepts there are a lot of great posts already on the subject. If you do an advanced topic search and select 'timeframe - all' then type zone defense, they will all pop up.

Specifically, start about 3/4 of the way down on the 3rd page of that thread. You can basically skip most of the middle pages 7-10, and pick up again in the last 4 pages. Definitely a go-to for understanding defense in generally, not just zone.
