It's a mystery to me, these Other Maz picks, to be used as Defensive Replacements, at Best???

I wanted a Bill Mazeroski 1960 Pirates $5,061,082 - that I could actually USE as an every day player (since I have Carew at 1B) Who dosent NEED a Defensive Replacement! NOW, I have to figure out WHAT to do with that FOOL Kuhel (another Dead weight) guy? Good thing that Kuehl is Reasonable (?) at around $1-5m, to sit on the Bench?

Can someone Please send the sitemail to whoever starts the next round, Thanks
Since you seem to be asking ... My feeling was that Maz's .300 OBP range doesn't do enough for me even with the great glove to justify using him there instead of a .340-hitting Carew with middling defense. I may be wrong about that, but I can get a decent value from Maz playing late-inning defense and filling in for the extra PA my Carew can't supply. And something had to give in the infield, since I've also got to find a place for 1B Kuhel and Banks since I missed out on all of Banks' SS years. Ergo, Carew had to play 2B or else I had too many dead weights (as you noted). Something like that anyway.

Dang, I was hoping we'd get to reddtrain before he went to sleep.

Only 13 picks today.
I was actually in class last night without Internet. I thought about sending you a proxy...but it wouldn't have worked anyway, because that player was taken.

Researching some more now.

I wanted the 1972 Lolich, but since he's not available, I'll take 1971 Mickey Lolich $9,708,246

Gawd, my team sucks to high heaven.

46 Joe Cool and one of my favorite relievers in the sim. Please sm.

I assume he means '46 Joe Kuhel $1,952,334, Washington version. Sorry, but the White Sox version is taken. As far as I can tell, 46 Senators don't have a reliever that fits his description.

Dang you’re right - mis-read the master list. Hang on...

I like the cut of your jib. I briefly considered trying to make this work but wasting $7M on Weyhing made it prohibitive. I'm looking forward to seeing how well he does.

Yeah I had a plan early and then forgot what I was up to -chalked some guys into my roster in advance and forgot that I hadn’t actually chosen them yet and proceeded as if I had. And now I find myself clueless. And Ted-ridden. This at least allows me to ignore this draft for at least a whole day and maybe tomorrow night I’ll figure something out.

1936 Charlie Gehringer
1936 Glenn Myatt, $683,806
