I almost ****** my pants laughing the first time I read something blaming Jill Stein for Hillary's loss. Reasons Clinton lost according to the left:

Russia, FaceBook, James Comey, The DNC, Jill Stein, Sexism, A Democratic predecessor, Bernie, Wikileaks, the debate questions, journalists, campaign funding, low-information voters, women under pressure from men

The problem is very few people actually blame Hillary.
I blame HRC for her loss. She is almost as unlikable as Mr Trump, and that is saying a lot. I'm sure, for many, she is more unlikable.
I would for sure Clinton is more unlikable. Trump has some charisma and charm and does a phenomenal job of connecting with normal people. This is what won him the rust belt. I think most rationally thinking people can agree that's he's fake, but a lot of people don't care to look more than skin deep. I feel the general consensus is that Hillary comes across as arrogant and pretentious.
If she was a man they would say she's confident and assertive.
She could say it all she wants and it wouldn't make it true, but hey she lies about a lot of other stuff why not this too. There are plenty of confident and assertive women and she is not one of them.
Does Trump come across arrogant and pretentious?
To most people, no. Especially prior to the election. He is a billionaire who found a way to resonate with the average person.

So if it comes out that this is true, and you think it's possible...would you say Trump has hurt out Democracy?
No, I still believe that he won because you guys nominated such a terrible candidate. It was two bad candidates battling it out and the wild card won.

When it comes out that Trump colluded with a foreign country you'll still think it didn't damage our democracy ?

WOW is right

And yet, he was still able to resonate with working class America. The man is a phony. I get that. This is why I exercised my American right to not vote at all for president, but he put on a great show for people.

Not sure how you can say someone who continually claims he is the best at every thing, and that he is a stable genius (whatever the heck that means) doesn't come across as arrogant.

On a somewhat related note, I would love to hear from the left where Trump has hurt our democratic process. Dino has alluded to Russian collusion, but there really hasn't been any hard evidence released that supports this yet. In fact, I feel the Roger Stone arrest points to the contrary. I have seen the wikileaks argument alluded to, I have yet hear anyone deny the information released. While I do not believe that the ends justify the means, I think more information about candidates is a good thing.

I do not believe Trump has hurt our democracy in the slightest. Change my mind.
Reversal of many norms.
Attacks against the free press. The Founding Fathers were pretty explicit on the need of a free press in our Democracy.

The GOP in general want to restrict voting rights across the board...he is the head of the GOP.

We should be making it easier to vote, not harder.
While he is unconstitutional in some of his remarks and actions about the media, he is not destroying our democracy here. Our media is just as strong as it was before he took office and will be just as strong when he leaves.

The left has claimed voter restriction well before Trump ever took office. This is nothing new and does not show that Trump is a threat to our democracy.
So you have a president calling for the jailing of journalists, the suspension of due process, the firing/jailing of his political foes, and the nominations of judges who are positively unqualified for their positions as no big deal to Democracy?

That's just a taste of some of the **** he pulls. He ******* threatens private citizens with ruin over Twitter.
I believe strongly that our country is strong enough not to miss a beat even with Trump's threats against the media. He doesn't have the power to jail journalists or suspend due process.

As far as the supreme court nominations, they have been qualified. I am not knowledgeable on the other judges he has appointed.
Suspend due process? Well, Trump has increased detention centers, so there goes that.

I believe that most institutions will be fine, but you cannot deny that Trump has deeply wounded the media's credibility. Members of Congress have said that all media is biased, so the only way to get unbiased reporting is directly from the President.

HRC deleted 33k emails and bleached her server. I don't care if she was a POTUS candidate or a CFO of a company. It looks damn suspicious.

Plus she is on the Left. I dislike the Left vehemently. So she was never getting my vote.
1/29/2019 4:47 PM
Lol. And nothing Trump has done looks suspicious.

Don't move the goal posts. We're discussing HRC. Trump doesn't bother me. His bravado is amusing. He is pro business and pro military and pro Israel. What is not to like? And again he makes the Left go crazy and that warms my heart. Yum Yum Yum.
