It might not be the best theme, but I found it to be 100% the most enjoyable

I believe this is S4 of this league unless it was run by someone else.

Sorry if I am missing the boat big time here, but need some clarification.

I understand that if send you 12 players (which I have), and no one else submitted 5 of those 12, they are automatically on my roster. The other seven, who at least one other team picked, are banned from the league. I saw there was no salary cap, so does that mean I get to choose any season for those five players (and the subsequent players I fill my entire roster with), no matter the cost?

Yes.

But I hope you realize that you then would have to send in a list of 7 players (round 2) and hope that nobody else listed any of those players.
And then again for round 3, and round 4, etc. until everyone has 12 unique players.

Yep. I just wasn't sure in regard to which version of the player we can draft once we "claim" him. Thanks for the info!

Will trades be allowed before we start the season?

To say I'm excited to see the results of Round 1 would be an understatement.
