I am pro legalization of marijuana.

Yep, we're seeing more of this everyday. McDonalds has a need for at most 2 employees per shift now. Minimum wages are job killers.

Well, I do support A minimum wage.

I don't believe any American responsible enough to keep a 40-hour / week job should be below the poverty line.
Of course, since the poverty line varies from place-to-place, the minimum wage should also vary accordingly.

(FWIW, I have suggest legalized marijuana to strikeout as tomorrow's topic. I'd love to hear some of the misguided reasons why people feel it would be OK to have more impaired people on our roads and workplaces, other than increase tax and regulation money.)
There's a whole lot of right in the first paragraph.

Nobody wants to see people live in poverty. I just don't believe the government should compel companies to pay a certain wage. Let the market decide what is fair. If you work a low-skill job, the market is not going to put a premium on it. If you are unhappy with your income, figure out how to improve your income. What trade can I learn? What credentials can I gain that will improve my income? Putting hamburger patties on a bun is not worth $40k per year. Learn a trade that does have value in the marketplace.

"As I said they Represent the majority otherwise they would not have said it publicly."

Just ONE example Boris. The lack of depth and critical thinking ability is astounding!

People speak bullshit publicly all the time. Witness the current POTUS.
Or (for that matter) about 85% of your posts on WIS, lol
Thank you for your kind words
You're very welcome Boris.
I do hope your sense of humor is intact!

By the way, Wylie, get your damn * up in Doubleday. You're killing me.

Based on these numbers, I don't think anywhere (except may crazy California) would require burger-flippers to get $40K.
Persons in Household 48 Contiguous States and D.C. Poverty Guidelines (Annual)
100% 138%
1 $12,140 $16,753
2 $16,460 $22,715
3 $20,780 $28,676
