You’re welcome. It isn’t perfect, nor is it exactly what I would have designed, but the game is lightyears better now than it used to be. I don’t care if a number of folks who had “conquered” it before decided to take their credits and go home. Good riddance to anyone who doesn’t want to play a game with other coaches who might beat them, and likewise to the coaches who need a simpler game experience. There are lots of choices for people who like mindless massive user experiences. Enjoy FarmVille.

If it’s something WIS feels necessary, there are lots of things they could do to improve population, without making the game significantly worse or dumber (ie, more like 2.0). Most importantly, improve the job process to decrease cost of time and money (in terms of seasons played) to get to D1; and decrease the cost to play (and incentive to park) at the port of entry. Any complaint about the number of sim players that focuses on beta changes, rather than those issues is intentionally specious (that means misleading, Benis), and most likely coming from someone who still hasn’t figured out the difference between “random” and “probabilistic”.

"EE's i have no problem with. Either adjust Session One targeting strategies, or limit the amount of probable EE's you sign. Anytime i sign a Top 20 recruit, i expect him to leave after 3 years."

You mean the 4 EEs you've had in the 80 seasons you've had at D1. Sounds brutal.

See, in Benis world, knowing how to count is the only real barometer for success. We shouldn’t be oppressed with the requirements of evaluating, planning, establishing priorities, and managing uncertain contingencies. That’s all nerd talk. If you disagree, you’re just not as good at counting as Benis is.

Parts of 3.0 are JUST as asinine as 2.0!

Sad part is we all recognized it but Seble was in such a rush to get it out that a half *** project was dumped on the players with no actual plans to fix what we were told would be fixed.

In fact, judging by the masses of people that left, 3.0 may be worse.
All you had to do was
1) remove roll over money and
2) introduce the current recruiting process but keep it in one session (post season). (in season recruiting/signing is NOT needed)

Seems simple to everyone except the ones who run the site.

No no Mully. That makes too much sense. But why make simple fixes to the things that are asinine? Just rip out the carpet and install a new pile of ****.

Also, this is a thread about how ****** D3 is and how 3.0 is doing a bad job at retaining new users. Most of your asinine examples apply to D1 and are therefore irrelevant.

If anyone thinks D3 teams should battle and beat D1 teams in recruiting all the time in a game that is supposed to simulate real life college basketball then you're an idiot.

Make D3 a free-to-play sandbox with no credits, and its own player pool. Let players start at D2 and move to D level D1 after a season. Problems solved.

But you’re still going to have to learn how EEs work.

I disagree with this. D3 was fun, don’t destroy it.

What makes you think it would be destroyed? Making it free? People hate that, I know.

Another 2.0 gem.

Experienced players with high prestige teams were allowed to see recruits new users weren't allowed to recruit or see. Then there were other recruits new users had to spend extra to "pull down" while experienced users got to recruit immediately with no extra "pull down" costs.

I assume that the people complaining don't know about this subject. I think this still exist in 3.0

I have five D1 teams. Lost several EEs and still find a way to get through . Lose out one season on superstars? Get reserves and players you can develop to start as Juniors and Seniors. Keep your roster flexible so you can go after the best players and not count on the recruit distribution to bail you out. Lose the max players in seniors and EEs at once like I have on two teams recently. You have to spend a season rebuilding. You also probably have a B+ or better prestige after that season. If you can't get back to the NT in two-three seasons you need to look at your recruiting style. Simple.

NEVER LOST A RECRUIT TO A D3 SCHOOL AS A D1.

Benis you are a great coach but you sound like you are running a bunch of seven win D1 teams that lose a bunch of EEs to the draft and D3 schools every season.

The big board shows the top players. Every one else can be seen through the various recruiting methods. Scout every area in scouting services and you see every player but transfers in the second cycle. Use Assistant scouting in second cycle to find those and you have everyone.

Why was this bad? It added realism.
