I got killed in the scattegories draft, need some redemption here

***Notice - In this league the draft is scheduled in 30 minute intervals. You, or a proxy, may make your selection at any time during your scheduled interval. Picks outside your scheduled interval are not valid. Missed interval - a player selection may be made after the last scheduled interval for that round/day and before the next rounds first scheduled interval.

Why are we attempting to make things HARDER on owners...

I assume this is intended to MOTIVATE - but I do not think that will be the result...

come on now... we all have jobs - (I hope) - and this doesnt help things....

I agree with cm. AT LEAST one hour windows, and if you miss your window then declare your draft choice as soon as possible, whether the round is completed or not ?

I think a FAR BIGGER issue for the last draft
(aside from me missing the playoffs with BOTH of my teams)

was the neglect of updating the alpha list (instead of late picks)

Im thinking there was more repeated or picking a player who was already chose,
in this most recent decade draft, than the last five or 6 drafts COMBINED....

I do half hour windows for one reason--So that a round can be completed each day. If we go to one hour windows, each round will take TWO days, which to me at least, is unacceptable.

The reason the last draft was so F'd up was that I had two other drafts that I was running at the time and smokey really tried to help out, but was a little lax at updating Page 2 (which should be on Page 1). For this draft, I SHOULD be able to set it up and update Page 1 myself. With me updating Page 1 AT LEAST once a day, and smokey updating the picks on each page, things should run much smoother.

I kinda disagree with smokey about picks not being valid once you miss your time slot. I think it's too harsh a penalty. U think smokey said that to make things easier on him, being able to keep things straight. I shouldn't have that issue if I am able to update Page 1 at least once a day.

Amerk- I'm retired. If you want I can update the picks a couple of times a day either on page 1 or on a separate thread.

Agree that waiting till end of day for a missed pick is too harsh.

I’d rather have it where if you miss your pick, you can pick whenever after instead of waiting for the round to end. Dropping a spot or 3 is penalty enough, we don’t need to have someone miss 20 picks just because they were busy during their 30 minute window, imo

As the commish..I did up datealpha list daily...the real problem was the way we draft. Why put a schedule out..you guys were drafting when you felt like it...god forbid owners pick in their time slot. It was like herding cats with firecrackers. So now the commish has to sort through the cat **** and post it on the alpha list...woot. If owner A is picking and owner C(mac) drops his later 3 picks in, they can get missed.. Or. Owner C(mac) make 1 of two late picks, then like 6 hours later make the 2nd late pick..can get missed. Add to it that 10 other owner are following suit...then you get a ****-storm. So tell me again whats wrong with the expectation that freakn veteran owners picks on time..or proxy. If you miss your time, why do you have a right to barge in on another owner time slot? I think that's unfair to the owner of the slot. That why a more structured draft seem in the best interest of the league...

Love you cmac...but you're worst of the bunch about missing your time slot...blahblah...blah.........blah blah.
