I've told you many times before that I don't ever want you lose your passion for helping the poor. You do good work. The problem is that almost all of your solutions involve the government solving their problems. The government can't solve their problems. They can give them a few handouts paid for by those who have made it financially, but this has been proven that it doesn't solve their problems long-term. Their problems arise because of choices made. Like you said, people from poor families are much more likely to drop out of HS. They are also much more likely to not have a father in the picture. They are also a lot more likely to get pregnant as teenagers or before marriage. These are not problems our "all-powerful" government can solve. A mindset change must occur. That is when you are going to see people move up the economic ladder. Our government created most of these problems in the first place. They sure as hell can't fix them.

This one line sums it all up. The true numbers don't matter to the left. If you don't buy into socialism, you are considered a bad person even though the facts don't support socialism. That's how the left works. They don't actually have any evidence for their beliefs, so they can't make a good argument, so they just resort to name-calling.

This is because you don't have an intellectual response. Not that you aren't a smart person, but there is no logic behind your views. They're all emotive. The facts say that capitalism works much better than socialism and creates much greater opportunity for people to thrive. But you've already stated that you don't care about the facts. Socialism makes you feel good. Take from the "evil" rich and redistribute it. Oh yeah, and "if you don't believe in socialism, you don't give a crap about people." The government is the only solution to everything.

Yep, your party has been great. Detroit, Baltimore, and Chicago have boomed. California doesn't have the highest homeless rate in the country, the highest poverty rate in the country, and the largest wealth gap in the country. The dems don't constantly attempt to strip freedoms and liberties from the American people. Yep, you guys have "fixed" everything that you have touched.
