You have to scout them separately in period 2 of recruiting, but in all seriousness I wasn't sure exactly what your question was.

Well 2 guys came to me about transferring.....
so was asking will I only see those two or do I have to go out and do it. I guess when period two opens there will be a spot to search just hose?

You mean they sent you a message. That's a good question. They are usually bad players, so don't normally pay attention to them. I think you can recruit them right away, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But you still have to scout them to level 4, think they give you level 1.

Click the transfers team the he came from. Then look for 1 of 2 types of games.... 1) complete blowouts where all 12 players likely entered the game. 2) games with scores in the 100s. Where again, all 12 likely played.

Look at the box score and find the players name that transferred. You can see his attributes there for free. You won't be able to see potentials. But you can get a visual estimate based off his growth that season, his WE, and his class (a soph will likely have more growth left than as senior for example)

I didn't want to say it, because it more than likely wasn't an intended part of the game....at least it wouldn't make sense you can find the players' ratings in the box score...lol

I agree in general. I just thought that most coaches knew this. So one more coach knowing wouldn't hurt. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's been posted here in the forums before. So I saw no harm.

when a player transfers they contact multiple schools in the area that they were originally from.

There are two waves of transfers: The first occurs immediately after the season ends, and they generally transfer due to broken promises. Some of these guys can be decent.
The second wave is during the second recruiting cycle. These are players that are cut by their coaches. It's possible you could find a gem that didn't fit the other coaches plan, but could fill a need for your squad. But overall they may be only attractive to a lower division team.

Haha. Not Mr Integrity. But if there's unwritten rules that aren't supposed to be shared here, I don't wanna get chewed out by everyone else

I'm not sure there are any unwritten rules, topdogg. Even if there are a few, finding a transfer's potential/ratings without wasting $$$ from the scouting budget should not be on that list.
