I think this is where it's also beneficial to have your franchise come up near the end of the draft. Then you get first pick and can better fill two holes on your roster as needed.
I suspect in the final few rounds we'll see more unusual selections as people *have* to fill particular spots or just grab a 200k guy because of salary limitations. In theory at least, there might be more talent available later in those rounds because of it so those with more flexibility could grab some bargains or surprises.
Or I could be wrong. I'm more or less winging it, too. Having little clue what my starting rotation will look like doesn't help.
I agree . . .I think we could see some studs go undrafted in the last few rounds just because teams won't have a spot left for them.
But if you wait and gamble that you'll be able to fill a full-time spot late in the draft, you could end up getting hosed bad.
This is a very interesting draft, that's for sure.
