Vindex comes, and Vindex goes. . . . .

I say sjh resumes picking for him after a certain amount of time, and Vindex can keep picking up when he comes back, if he so chooses. He's pretty notorious for disappearing for extended periods of time.

Amazing how everyone not Jtpsops now takes too long to draft. If 5 minutes elapses have someone else pick for him!! Hurry, Hurry, Hurry. Seriously, why did you even bother to join this league, if all your going to do is whine about pick times?

You may want to scan this thread if you think I'm the only one who has an issue with extended absences. And just as a reminder...we've had waits of 11, 16 and 17 hours for you. Not exactly 5 minutes.

As for Vindex, he's been in my drafts before. He disappeared for a week after the last one, without a word, and showed up right before he was about to be replaced. This is a trend for him. I'm not making it up. I'm simply proposing a solution that we already were using for the first 5 rounds of this draft.

I'll counter you though: why do people like you join drafts if you're not going to respect other owners and check in regularly?

Can we get Andy Cohen (not the Giants 2nd baseman from the 1920s but the host of Watch What Happens Live) in here to moderate this discussion. Timing would be good since he is a Cardinals fan. And I am embarrassed to say I actually know who he his (my wife is watching him now in the other room).

Folks, can we just end the sniping at each other, please? I want to see this through without losing anyone over a thread argument.

That would be nice. I come to WIS for a reprieve from the day-to-day drama of the real-world. Everyone is fighting a battle we can't appreciate. We'll get through this eventually.

NEW GROUND RULES:

If we lose people and have to shut this thing down, so be it, at this point it's more draining than it is fun. My apologies to all of you for not being firm up front about these things, I've never had issues in several off the clock drafts I've done before.

1 - NO CLOCK - if this draft finishes up on New Years Eve then what a great way to start 2020!
2 - No more mulligans for any pick, our grace period is over for the Combined season thing, everyone should be watching that now. In case my post got lost in the frenzy, the request by vilefileman to change a pick from round 4 is not allowed.

If there is still some outstanding issue let me know so we can hash it out and get back to drafting players. Thanks guys.

I'm in a couple of leagues where the drafting is the best part of the league, even more than the games themselves, and this league is one of them. (Rule V the other). I understand the impatience.

Thanks Neb, I'm sure we can all live with it. I saw your original posts said your intention was about a round per day. Let's all do our best to keep it moving. And let's not get personal in our posts. Play ball!

Agreed. My post about Vindex wasn't meant as a snipe at him. We already had sjh drafting for him, and I think it makes sense to jump back on that train, rather than wait a while to see if Vindex shows up again.

I agree and that's how I feel about auctions/drafts for fantasy baseball and football. Auctions for rotisserie baseball are the absolute best, and are easily the best part of the season!

And I think 9 est tonite is reasonable and I would just take over the team I drafted for good. No hard feelings but after all this that is more than reasonable.
Is this the plan then regarding Vindex and his team? I am fully supportive if that's the decision (apologize if this has been addressed and i missed it). Just want to ensure we're all on the same page and can get back to drafting - and hopefully having some fun!!
