You’re already taking a rebounding hit, playing 3-2. Olson’s rebounding at the 4 won’t help. O’Malley’s rebounding is better, and you’d be putting him in a position to use it less. IMO, the perimeter is less affected by this position change than the rebounding. So in essence, you’re kind of accentuating a weakness, and de-emphasizing a relative strength. It won’t tank your team, but I would think it’s a little less than optimal, unless there’s a compelling matchup reason to switch in a given game.
