Minnesota - Iba Topic

Happy morning everyone. My turn for the classic "I forgot to renew woe is me" thread. I forgot to renew my Minnesota team in Iba. Someone must have applied for Minnesota this morning, so it looks like I'm going to lose my team. I'm mad at myself but play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

My gripe is that I am not qualified for any other D-I schools... I will have to move back down to D-II.

If whoever applied for the Iba Minnesota job is out there reading this - I will buy you a season of HD if you will allow me to return to Minnesota. If not, I understand.

I'm honestly more frustrated that I'm not even qualified for Binghamton lol I was there for 3 seasons and had 2 NT appearances. I'm 1 season removed from that, my first and only season at Minnesota. I have no attachment to Minnesota, I just want a dang D-I team.

I just looked at the job openings in Iba and Minnesota is listed as available. Does it not show up on your vision?

It shows up, but at least one other coach has applied for it, maybe more. If you forget to renew, you can still return to your team if no one else has applied. The "reason" I'm not qualified for any other D-I schools is loyalty, because I just moved from Binghamton to Minnesota a season ago. I would return to Minnesota if I could, but I am unable, and I am OK with that because I'm the dingus who forgot to renew. I'm not dropping down to D-II though, I'll stop playing if I have to do that. I'm not purposely trying to job-hop so loyalty shouldn't be an issue, but that's the way job logic is programmed.

I think once you're accepted at a D1 school, ESPECIALLY if a decent Big 6 school hires you, you should be eligible for the low D1 jobs forever from that point on. That's not the case????

That's odd to me

For what it's worth, your solution might be to sit out a season or two while your loyalty builds back up in the game's background.

In fact, you might actually become eligible for low D1 again as soon as new coach signups start. That's been my experience.

This is exactly what I'm thinking I will do. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, it would allow me more time to focus on my 9 other teams, haha.

congrats! the admins of this game really are pretty understanding when it comes to stuff like this, willing to put in that manual effort to make relatively small change for us (although this one is pretty impactful), props to them for that! (even if they had nothing to do with it here, i've seen them resolve these a bunch of other times)
