Pretty happy with Durant and Whiteside. Set pretty much everywhere except for passing plus I get to build a fun team, which is the most important thing to me.

I'm sad about Artis falling out of favor. You get eFG%, 12 OReb%, FTAs, blocks, relatively low fouls, 80 D, and at least 20 Usg% for 3400 minutes. Turnovers aren't that bad. There's no way you're falling behind average on efficiency, defense, or rebounding if he's your first pick, and he's a decent passer too. Maybe he's not a sexy pick anymore, but he's reliable and safe, and you can definitely afford him in this league. He'd be a great fit with some currently undrafted players.

I'm super weary of James Harden, but there's a way to make Harden/Artis work that could be scary.

I have moved Gobert all the way up to #16 on my board. DeAndre still down at #22 for me.

I would still pick Deandre over Gobert 9 times out of ten because I can play him @ the 4

Gobert is 99 at the 4. You can play him there just fine.

17 Gobert is $8,450,590 for 2744 minutes. 15 DeAndre is $8,451,075 for 2820 minutes. The difference is small.

The difference is two points of usage. It's a pretty big deal.

Despite that, DeAndre is roughly worth the same in salary. Also, 13.6 to 16.7 is half a point of usage, or 3.1%. I think I’d take Gobert over Jordan, but the extra rebounding is always worth something.

I don't think it's as big a deal at this cap as it is in the ODL. In the ODL you have to think really carefully about committing too much money to a guy with really low usage because it will make your salary situation pretty ugly. It's not as big a concern with this cap.

I think early-mid second round is appropriate for him. He has big pluses but big negatives. The turnovers actually are pretty bad for what his usage is, and fouls are also somewhat on the high side for a first round pick.

73 is my Artis season. I don’t know how everyone feels about that, but the positives are too rare. At this cap, having those positives for 3000+ minutes is more valuable than Whiteside and others by a long shot, especially if your first or second round pick doesn’t get to the line or get offensive rebounds that much.

I’ve found that you can’t get away with not having a defensive anchor. One who puts offensive pressure on the other team’s center, and rebounds better than Shaq, Karl and Kareem, is too good to pass on. I’d take him as high as 16, but more likely at 20 and wouldn’t let him slip past 30.

I am referring to the superior 18-19 Gobert season which is 17.8 points of usage.
