After reading these comments it appears that this is a league where computer skills are more important than team building skills (I've never heard of a 'pivot table'). Guess I should take a Spreadsheet class if I want to enter next year........ And I agree with what Schwarze said. There's no way possible to use $140M efficiently- and that means there is a huge advantage to the owners who get to select one of the few very good players in the player pool.
I disagree with this. With all of the teams available to us, I think it'll be easy to use $140M effectively, even without having a $20M+ player on your roster.
There's no way. The amount of total teams or players is irrelevant. It is the amount of quality. If you were to build an unrestricted $140M team, you wouldn't even consider the vast majority of the player pool. Yes, you can reach $140M, but with IPs and PAs that won't be used. All 25 owners have to select 1 player linked to each nominated player... Go look at the 5th best player in some of these scenarios... That guy is garbage in a lot of cases, yet he and worse players will be must plays... My nomination, for example, honestly has no good position players at all. Some nominations have ZERO quality pitchers (pitchers that would be on an unrestricted $140M playoff roster)... Simple math means that it isn't possible to use $140M effectively considering the rules.
