If the Senate trial was evidence free then the House did not do it's job. They were the ones that conducted the hearing, They had every opportunity to call additional witnesses. 17 wasn't enough? Why were they in such a hurry? Then they sit on the articles for 33 days before submitting them to the Senate? Why? The Senates job is to vote on the articles as they are presented to them. It is not required of them to call additional witnesses. Had the House held a bi-partisan hearing instead of a one-sided Schiff led Democrap coup then the Senate Republicans might have been willing to compromise and allow additional witnesses. I would say the Democraps got exactly what they asked for in the Senate, no cooperation. because none was given to the Repubs in the House.
