Thanks to everyone who graciously withdrew, it was appreciated and I look forward to passing it on. In the end, there were still others with applications in, but I luckily was able to win the job as a 'new coach'
I’m glad you were able to get your job back!

If you don’t mind answering, I have two questions.
1) Did you get a full recruiting budget because you’re now considered a new coach?
2) Did you lose your coach longevity preference?
Good questions, I had to go look:

1) Oddly, yes. I did get a full recruiting budget
2) I did not lose my coach longevity preference
Yup. This is a major bug but Seble doesn't think it's an issue for some crazy reason.
Yep. Seble just intervened to give an A+ prestige school a significant edge in recruiting.

How can he not understand this is a problem?

At this point, I think the only way to get this thing fixed is if people start openly abusing it. Seble isn't saying its cheating and it's supposed to work this way right? Well cool, I'll just create an alt ID and use it to apply for jobs that i already have and that I know I will win with my main ID. Double resources, easy peasy.
He never said purposely exploiting it isn't cheating.

Again, the question is, why not ALWAYS have auto renew checked on every single team you have, while ALSO clicking renew during 1 of the 45 days during the season to be safe?

This thread and the OP was very very very nice. (3 very's benis!). But no offense to the OP, this is the most baffling incident that happens in HD in my opinion. Why would anybody NOT use auto renew for a team you're invested in?! I just can't grasp that. This is a marathon game and not a race game. We all know that. And we also know that life happens sometimes and not everyone can check it every minute of every day. But as coaches we know the deadlines we're dealing with, the engine sends us notifications, I mean there's literally no excuse for this.

I'm not harping on OP, I play in that world, I've competed against him. Good team, good conference, good guy. But this should NEVER be an issue for any coach in HD history. And we see this far too often.
In my case, I was out of seasons and bought a 5 pack but forgot to actually apply one of the seasons to renew the school. Completely my fault, obviously,

I don't think you're cheating camel, but I think this is for sure an issue that people can exploit and people for sure have before, but again, I don't think you're one of those people as you gave good reasoning why, have never done this before, and you seem like a reasonable guy lol.

Right. Benis’s bright idea is cheating in essentially the same as creating an alt ID to share scouting resources. They both violate fair play guidelines pretty clearly.

Not sure why you'd call this Benis's bright idea. Anyone with half a brain immediately could see the issue before the question was even answered.

He just loves benis more than he loves the rest of us. I get jealous sometimes. I'm supposed to be benis's lackey!

I appreciate the recognition guys but it wasn't even my idea. Someone else mentioned it a couple weeks ago, maybe it was Gilispie? But if you want some action from Seble, that's how you do it.
