1967 Celebrity Softball Challenge (I just watched recently - celebrities and softball pitching great Eddie Feigner versus Mays, McCovey, Clemente etc...)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L41A9zsLblA

A classic, an hour long game.
This game is amazing! I had no idea they played these that long ago. Great to see those legends in their heyday and to see The King mow 'em down.

That may be true but the reverse situation would put schwarze at a disadvantage. For example, if schwarze was going to use a 1B teammate with his nominated player and then David Ortiz gets nominated by someone else late in the process, his original nominee becomes less useful.

I have participated in all in but one of schwarze's 16x16's and 8x8's and this is the first time I recall a late switch by schwarze, I believe he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Not that my opinion matters, after all I am a self-proclaimed bigwig (eye roll), but I believe given the uncertainty in the world right now (Corona) Schwarze has built up enough goodwill over the years but he should have to roster Bucky Dent just on principle.

Play ball, I am depressed with the lack of sports right now!

Lets roll. Any advantage either way is negligible. Schwarze is a top commissioner because he has high integrity and has been a mentor to a lot of us who have played this game. After 3 surgeries and 4 trips to the ER in the last 6 weeks I need the distraction.
I am well aware of, and agree with, schwarze's reputation for integrity on this site. I am thankful that he takes the time to run this theme, which I thoroughly enjoy, I don't think he has done anything underhanded by making this switch, which is within the current rules of the theme. I am also very eager to start this draft.

However, I believe that wherever possible all players should have equal information. There is an inherent, unfair advantage in being the only person to know what season everyone else is using for their nominated player while still being allowed to make a change. There would be two very easy ways to rectify this:

1. Publicize everyone's season selection for their nominated player
2. Lock in everyone's nomination before notifying schwarze of the season selection for their nominated player

I am fine with proceeding with this season as is, but I believe that in the future all players should have access to the same information.

I'm not sure there is much advantage at all. Most nominations are tied to teammates that are available. Looking at each nominated player and their teammates, I can almost tell you which version everyone is taking. Unless they are using a completely different strategy from the norm, which is possible. I haven't played in a lot of these leagues but I can almost guarantee you that if you have a strategy for the draft, regardless who the player is or if you know which version each person is taking, it will change about 6 times before it's over anyway. With that being said, I actual agree with you barracuda. Just make everyone's choice public and have at it.

One thing for sure, with only $110M, there will be some tough choices.

I have no problem making everybody's pick public. I agree with this post that I thought that, in most cases, the seasons of the nominated players are somewhat obvious. In no way was I trying to give myself an unfair advantage and I apologize if that was the perception.

I am still missing cholatse's Flanagan season....

Here is what I have so far..

29 Dickey, 52 Cavaretta, 30 Hornsby, 65 Kuenn, 57 Aaron, 78 Blair, 85 Paciorek, 77 Bailey, 16 Ortiz, 58 Ford, 60 Osteen, 02 Finley, 69 Hall, 10 Wright, 84 Torrez,

If anybody wants to change their pick, please do so before 6:00 pm CDT today. That's when I will start

My season is posted incorrectly above. I sitemailed for 1965 Kuenn (Giants partial)

Thanks for posting the list schwarze, but mine is also listed incorrectly. The Finley I sent was the 2002 Cardinals partial, $2,414,532.

Edited post above for corrections. I think what I did was to guess at season once a player was announced (as I entered the players into the team center) and in some cases forgot to change it when I got the sitemail.

Which partial/combined was taken for '84 Torrez and '10 Wright?
