While we're waiting, can we discuss the fact that Jamey Wright had a 19-year career with 10 teams without ever being good? Until age 35, he'd only had one ERA under 4. He kind of got miraculously decent as an old pitcher the last few years, but how he did he stick around that long?

He was 6-6, 240. Yet he struck out only 5.3 per 9 innings while walking 4.3. Were they all just waiting for him to be an effective power pitcher because he had the body for it?

Nice pick. It was between '86 Finley (+ M.Witt) and '92 Flanagan (+ Mussina) with my first pick.

I like my Jays teammates with the 87 Flanagan, and he's still usable and didn't cost me too much of a drop in the draft order (2nd to 5th).
