Yeah, I agree dino27. GM has already OFFERED to shift to producing ventilators and doesn't seem to have received an answer from the government.

When Pearl Harbor happened, FDR said "We will produce a ship a day, and 50 planes a week." They outdid that in pretty short order.

Why can't we produce 100,000 surgical masks a week and 100 ventilators a day?
