Don't have much experience with the machinations with draft big board. Had a player (Creason) that opened the season in the 50's likely staying. Mid-season 30's on the fence, Now he is likely going at #10. Is that unusual? He did improve a lot (86).
you are seeing the same issue. all players at all positions get smashed into 1 draft order, but there's not a universal ranking scheme. like, there isnt a constant value for per, for reb, etc - and all players go in, come out with final ratings. actually when the big board first came out, i wrote a program using genetic algorithms to find the linear equation behind the big board, if one existed (i hate statistics even more than i hate programming). it could not converge on an answer.
anyway, i since realized that basically the scheme first assigns a draft position and then calculates the ratings. it does this so like, pure pgs can get drafted, things like that. anyway, both change throughout the year, so if a guy goes from being considered one position to another, you can see a big jump or drop on the board.
