No doubt that trade was odd.

The peripherals are hard to ignore. It raised an eyebrow.

A random rookie manager that has never participated in a WIS game trades away his 8th, 10th and 16th picks to the league creator.
The return is Steve Ontiveros - not bad but hardly a stud ace - and two mandatory garbage picks.
The trade takes five minutes to be confirmed by both managers at 1:30 a.m.

Nothing peculiar?

My squad needs some work, so I shouldn't be paying attention. It is what is.

I can say I personally know both owners (as do a handful of others in this league) and can confirm it's not just someone gaming the system running two teams. The reason that there are so many rookie managers in this league is because several of us are in a real fantasy league together and with the real season pushed back we decided to run this league so people, including several that have never played WhatIf, could get their fix of baseball.
I can corroborate this story.

Also, I gave deer a bit of the business over text for it, and Halter had offered me a similar deal shortly before. We'll see how it plays out.

I don't know what Carole Baskin is - but yes, halter and I know each other and worked it out via text - no shenanigans, just a trade.

My unrequested opinion is that Ontiveros was a total horse **** pick in round 4, but no one would have traded a 4 for an 8 and a 10 prior to making that pick. Deer probably realized he made a really terrible pick and salvaged it as best as he could. Ontiveros is not really very good, definitely not a 4th, but better than an 8th. So like any trade, it is what it is.

Let me reiterate..... Ontiveros was a terrible, horrible, no good very horse **** pick in round 4. But I think the trade is interesting and not terribly unbalanced.

I was approached for a trade and I don't know anyone in this league. Just some owners having some fun, IMO.

Meanwhile, I'm genuinely upset someone someone grabbed Ben McDonald, Ken Hill and Cal Eldred...... yup, that's where I am

Quick question. If a guy was trade mid season, how does that work. Do you get him for the whole season or partial?
4/3/2020 9:47 AM
Partial seasons are ok per rules posted on first page..... basically your choice

Deer and Halter are a couple of knuckleheads.
