I hope everyone is doing well. All D3 worlds are going to receive a temporary boom and seble and WiS won't do much to keep those players here after their free season. With that, we can create owner retention by reaching out to people, explaining the game, answering their question, pointing them to the forums and other mentors, and overall telling them that early on in HD it is a lot about patient. I reached out to every new coach in Knight and Rupp through sitemail and CC (only took me an hour each) and I plan to do the same tonight with Allen coaches (except I'm not in the world, so just through sitemail) and Tark tomorrow. I encourage everyone to reach out and create conversation with new D3 coaches to do your part.

The only reason I'm still playing HD is because a few very nice coaches (who I still talk to now) reached out very early on to help me. I had a good amount of coaches read respond to my sitemails from Knight and Rupp and if we continue to do this across the board owner retention % will skyrocket.

+1. I plan to go through DIII conference threads and paste stuff today.

Agree 100%. In my experience, it's been easier to keep new coaches when I've made the effort to reach out and see if they have any questions. As we all know, if left on your own in the early days, this game is confusing and frustrating.

I think he was referring to the rest of us. He has more than a few coaches in his circle of trust.

Lol, to be fair, top, you were "very nice" early on.

Obviously. Was a joke at myself. I'm still nice to those that are nice to me as well

I love what you're doing in the conference chats and with sitemail. My buddy got a sitemail from you and felt quite welcomed.

Well thank you sir! Same to ya. We go way back to the days of HD giving ME a team that YOU applied for. Haha remember that?! Glad it could be resolved.

Unfortunately, i should go ahead and mention this, to get my Vince Carter farewell tour in (there's a real reason behind this, I didn't HAVE to fish for friendly compliments!)..... I am working my way towards retirement. I've dropped 3 teams in a week. And the rest will follow in the coming weeks, and likely not months.

So the real reason I'm mentioning this.... I had taken over the two "HD Champs" threads from Chapelhillne a year or two ago, and I've kept them in superb standing! Even announcing when notable accomplishments have been achieved by coaches/teams. I'm reaching out to ask if someone would like to take over managing the threads after I leave now? They are two fun and helpful threads for the HD community to view, and I'm hoping whomever may volunteer will take both. They should stay together in my opinion. It's very very easy to maintain.

If anyone is interested and you know you will be here for a substantial amount of time, shoot me a sitemail. And we can discuss things.

And for all you new coaches coming in, surround yourself with a good group of HD friends..... it makes the game 100x better! Trust me on that! Without friends, it's not the same game in my opinion!
