I don't mind the design but the contrast on the red is still too clashing. I know they darkened it up a bit which helped but I don't think it was enough. There was a comment on an earlier post by a web designer that put it best.
"I'm a web developer and UX designer.
While there are positives to the new redesign, and any attempt to be more mobile friendly should be applauded, one negative that several users have mentioned is color contrast. This is an accessibility issue, as users with low vision will have trouble reading text against the background if the contrast ratio is insufficient. You can test this yourself using
https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/.
For example, when I select a team under Active Teams, it appears the text is pink (#E1574C) against grey (#F2F2F2), which creates only a 3.3:1 contrast ratio. A minimum of 4.5:1 is needed for proper accessibility.
Similarly, the buttons that read Start New Team!, Theme Leagues etc. use beige (#E7CD9C) against that same pink, and here the contrast ratio is even more problematic, at only 2.4:1.
The issue users have brought up about having difficulty reading the text is a legitimate one. Hopefully creating a color palette with greater contrast will be an easy fix, as the old site didn't have this problem."
