Question, so i am recruiting a kid and I am leading with him with moderate interest. I offer him a scholarship and inform he that he is redshirt and the next recruiting cycle, all the interest is gone and he is no longer considering me. I withdraw the redshirt and he still is not interested me. What do I now?

You can try putting more effort in but usually those guys are lost forever. Did he have a wants to play preference? Those guys usually don’t take well to the red shirt.

I would throw in the towel on this recruit this time. If you're new it's just part of learning. But generally speaking, that redshirt option is not a good idea to use. Being new and trying to figure the game out, just move on to other recruits in this case and take it on the chin.

I have had that happen too. My experience has been that if I'm at D3, I can only safely offer a redshirt to D3 level recruits. D2/D1 recruits will ghost me if I try the redshirt.

Experience says "inform of redshirt" during recruiting is bad. Save it until player is on campus, then just try it as part of pre-season efforts.

I only inform of red shirt JUCOs without playing preference

Same thing happened to me on a guy last season. Best to just move on to a back up option. Like others have said, informing of redshirt is rarely worth it. Just wait until he is on campus and throw the redshirt on him. If he pitches a fit you can always take it off with no penalty.

The only time I’ve ever used inform redshirt is when I’d only take the player if he’d take the RS.

That’s a pretty solid plan.
