I'm more concerned with getting rid of the ridiculous player roles stuff. I hate when I'm discussing a player with a coach and they send him to me and it says 57.4 instead of like 673. Sure, I don't need the number it represents to know if a player is good. That's in the attributes. But I just feel it does nothing for the game in any way.
Why in the world would you want to get rid of something that other people like and you have the option to turn off?
And LOL player roles are extremely useful. Its highly convenient to be able to schedule well without checking through the attributes of every player on a team to see if they are good or not...

I agree. Custom player roles can be quite useful. I have quite a few that I use. Specialized stuff like rebounding, distributor, perimeter defense, post defense, etc. I pay more attention to specific ratings and make my own decisions but having some player roles is a quick way to get a general idea about different things. And it's not like seeing a player's overall score is helpful anyway.

If you don't find player roles that's useful, but there's no reason you have to use them but more information you can choose to ignore never hurts.

Just a lil sarcasm boys! I don't really feel like they need to be removed from the game! It just looks so weird whenever someone shares a player.
If you use the sim default numbers, then it's not going to have any use because it has ratings like durability involved. If you change to another formula, how do you know it's even good? But the MAIN reason I find them useless is because we only need 12 players in HD. So a role player or two is great, but generally you need your players to be good at more than just one thing. I would think it would be really helpful in GD where you need a lot more players and filling one role could be more
It's just an eye sore for me. I agree that overall rating doesn't tell you anything. But I can see that a 673 is going to be fairly decent. But a 51.2 guy might be elite in your roles, but horrible in someone else's. I just think it's waaaaay too much work for not much benefit.
