trying to check if im losing my mind (i mean, the little bit i have left) or if something is going on glitch wise.

is it just me or did the smith world say 'recruiting will pause at 11pm today', yesterday? and now it says it again today? and not like last night after midnight. like 2 in afternoon.

I didn’t notice. It always actually pauses the evening right before the conference tourney starts. So yesterday at 2PM, the message should have been “Recruiting will pause tomorrow at 11pm” or something like that. If it was something else, must have been a glitch.

yeah, i know how it should work. the weird thing is, i wasn't even doing anything, chapelhillne was doing everything as usual on the kentucky team in smith and i kinda checked in and he was telling me about it and i was looking and i was like wait... recruiting ends in 2 cycles, we don't have time for that plan! i had been paying very little attention and had no clue when it was ending, i didnt think it was ending that day until i saw the message. but chap had talked about this plan that would take a few cycles and im like oh crap, he doesnt know it ends today - so i flip back to go tell him we had no time but when i looked back, he had already messaged me - oh crap we are out of time. and i was like yeah, i just saw that myself. so we changed our plan.

anyway today i see a message, i guess im an idiot, it actually ends today. and i was like no, im the idiot, i must have led you astray, i was the one who said it ended yesterday. as i had figured it out myself, that the plan wouldn't work, i forgot that he had already figured it out by the time i went to tell him. so i figured i led him astray, and he figured he led me astray, but upon reviewing our messages its clear we each had seen it ourselves, which is what we both thought in the first place.

so its like man, what are the odds... how could we both not think recruiting was ending, then go look at the situation, then both come away thinking it was today - if it said tomorrow. if it was just me, sure. i could be hallucinating all of this. but chap too? i dont know, its weird.

I just know it’s easy for the brain to mix up “today” with “tomorrow” when you’re used to seeing both. I’ve done it. Doesn’t mean it’s not a glitch. If others noticed it, it’s worth asking about, they might have some log or record.

not so much an account as certain teams. i used to only solo coach and then when i got bored and lazy i half solo coached and half co-coached, so i could spend more time doing what i loved (talking about hd) and less doing what i hated (playing hd). now that i am super lazy, i only co-coach bc i just can't stand coaching myself anymore! him and i have only done this like the last year, almost everything hes ever done he did himself, we only started together when he was about to retire and offered me the chance to check out 3.0 recruiting in a zero-stakes situation (he was about to drop the team). its kinda cool IMO, i had 0 teams, he had 2 and was heading to 0 imminently, already had gotten folks to take over his tracking threads and all - in short order i had 1 team and he had 4 team. i dropped mine after a few seasons (too easy, i came back for 'the challenge of learning 3.0'), but hes up to 5 now. co-coaching is probably the only reason either of us are still around at all.

i know some folks aren't a huge fan of it but i will say, my serious solo teams are tremendously more successful than my co-coach ones, so i kind of think me co-coaching lets everyone else off easy ;) i think some people are worried it confers an advantage, and in theory, its possible. that's just not the reality here though. neither of us take anything that seriously and we are both significantly less successful together than either of us alone.
