A CV is worth 2.3HVs????? I always thought it was between 1 and 2.
It’s between 2.3 and 2.7 I think. I used to use 2.5 but for a reason I now forget I binned it down.

"throw out your scholarship 100:1, its garbage."

Honestly I kinda suspected this could be true but I didn't get in to it too much. But how did you go about figuring out recruiting effort vs unlocking actions?
i just got all the values for unlocking (except cv) by picking up a trash d3 team and recruiting a couple top 5 players. it can take like 1000+ ap to unlock their CV. anyway i got the values of AP to unlock cv, how much ship, hv, mins (10/15/20/25) and start moved the needle on unlocking CV, and ended with all the ratios. i actually have no idea where those are, i can't even find it now...

then i collected a few interesting battles and it was pretty clear, it was impossible for the unlocking values to be the real values, because the outcomes were just all over the map relative to what those would predict, even in cases where there were ties in prefs and stuff where there is very little mystery outside of the values on the effort.

I think everyone is seriously undervaluing promises.

I was on a recruit once that did not have a playing time preference.

He was a top 10 stud.

I pumped in 1000 AP and a scholarship offer, was only at Low versus another school at Very High.

I was A+ prestige, the other school A-. Preferences were basically even.

A promised start and 25 minutes got me from Low to Very High in one cycle. Other school still at Very High.

the subsequent 20 HV and campus knocked the other team down to moderate.

I would guess 25 minutes and a start is equal to 15 HV or so.
I agree with the fact that we're undervaluing promises in this thread. But I'd say 25 minutes and a start is equal to about 10 HV at its peak. And not 15 HV. But I do feel it's being undervalued here

I shall convert everything to home visits.

I believe 50 AP equals a home visit.

i had 1000 AP and a scholarship = the equivalent of roughly 22 home visits.

I was only at low interest, so my estimate is, I was at best, around 40 percent of the leader’s recruiting effort.

assuming you need to get to about 85 percent of the leaders effort to reach very high, I would propose equation.

22/x = .4

x=55

.85x55= 46.75

46.75-22= 24.75

24.75 home visits is the amount of recruiting effort needed to achieve very high.

so in my own example, the 25 minutes and the start was equal to roughly 25 home visits, or, more value than 1000 AP and a scholarship offer.

I am sure some of my assumptions are wrong, but not THAT wrong.

Can anyone point out where I went wrong?

Your 22 visits were more
like 33 if you factor in prestige

"Preferences were basically even."

This is something that I think tricks people up. UNLESS you do the calculations on some of the preferences (style for example) , you don't really know IF they are even.

For example, you both could be "neutral" on strong defense but one player is on the edge of "good" and the other player on the edge of bad. So you could be a full preference up/down and not realize it. Defense, perimeter/paint offense are all on sliding scales and you can be anywhere in those.

Just sayin'

Mully,

prestige and preferences are irrelevant to this exercise. I am basing the value of the promises compared to the value of my 1000 AP. The AP also has the exact same advantage.

Is there any recruiting tool that would help with that?
