farleyfustle,

Anywhere else I looked for the dagger, your 2B bench situation, your bullpen, still left you with a very affordable Babe Ruth at $6.5 M and an OPS in excess of 1.000.
Sure, Rogers Hornsby is there too, but at an unusable $15M.
That'll leave you with all-or-nothing Ralph Kiner and Leon Wagner in the middle of the lineup.

Babe Ruth is daggered.
Sportsman's Park is daggered.

3dayrotation

3 teams from 1972 and one from 1952

Strong SP, probably the best in the division, but expensive. A dagger here would not do much good.

Not much power in your lineup. I thought a lot about C Ted Simmons, but then I saw the flaw in your roster.
No backup 3B. Four very capable starters, but zero backups. Beer please tell me I am not missing anything. I pulled up the rosters a few times to make sure.

3B Joe Torre can also play 1B, but the other 3 only play 3B. Correction, Bando plays 2B at D-/D-.
That is an expensive 2B with 50+ errors, hopefully.

Start the roster juggling now.

Beernoser, I hate to do this since I love the idea of this league and the work you've put behind it, but your dagger seems pretty obvious. Your 4 teams, each only have 1 shortstop. I could kill the only good one of the bunch, but Hollacher costs almost $7 million, so if you can fit him, you can use. McMillan and Foli are in the $3 million range and not very good, so I will cut Johnny Pesky and his $1 million salary. You'll have to carry a $3 million backup and $10 million on shortstops combined, or punt the position.

I'll also dagger the most moderate stadium, Crosley Field

contrarian23 after looking over your teams you really only have 2 power hitters. Hank Sauer and Ted Williams. I’ll let you keep Ted and his almost 12 mil salary and dagger the more economical Hank Sauer and his ball park Wrigley
