Inevitable I suppose. They have arrived.

I will tolerate them if it gets us a well deserved update. Hint...

AdBlocker is free, available on PlayStore. Seems to do the trick. No issues running Chrome on my tablet with it turned on...

AdBlocker has been a Godsend on every site!

F*** off!

I am really enjoying this one about catching your cheating husband, though ...

Keep those testimonials coming in...I get $1 a piece...

OK, this has to stop. Even with an ad blocker, it significantly slows down the site - and it's going to render the site unusable for some.

For those on a business computer, most likely it will.

I think for those of us with active teams we shouldn't have to be seeing these ads. My 2 cents. Premium members are exempt from ads on many sites...

in order to use the forum you have to have paid for a team within the last two years, so anyone who's active here is a paying customer by definition

i'd be ok with if they used the revenue for a big enhancement, like bringing back LIVE but there were occasional commercial breaks, but this just looks like them grabbing revenue at the expense of the product

I sent a ticket asking about this. Standby for the response..

Yeah it is making me crazy. I cannot use the site under these conditions.

On many sites paying customers are exempt from ads.

I spend quite a bit here. Not a fan of the pop ups.

What say ye???

The ads are something we're trying out in certain non-pay sections of the site. At this point we don't have the capability to turn them on/off by account, but we'll consider that. Just to be clear, you shouldn't be seeing pop-up ads (i.e. ads that open a new window).

Thanks for playing on WhatIfSports.

My advice is for everyone to use an ad blocker.

If you can turn the revenue into progress that we've been waiting for, I will go to bat for you out there.

If this gets us nowhere closer to an update i will look for something else to do.

The product is long overdue some revision.

Tell the boss that he has a customer base that would like to be appreciated...some of us make you some money, and have done so for quite awhile...Doc

We definitely understand that. The bottom line is that more revenue gives us a chance to expand the staff and make game improvements more quickly. I know ads can be annoying, so we're trying to find a balance that works.

Thanks for playing on WhatIfSports.

For what it's worth I've been on here quite a bit since they turned the ads on. The AdBlocker is working quite well. Try it before you consider going postal...
