I received an e-mail from whatifsports and I heard they made a post on twitter as well.

they did post on Twitter. I saw it this AM. I don't get emails (turned it off) but I would have thought a service interruption would supersede those settings.

Yep, I got an email with apology and plan of action hours ago.

I can only imagine the headaches seble had today resolving this, and I really appreciated getting the email with the detailed updates for every dynasty game.

It looks like everything is pushed back 1 day so I'm assuming no games tonight.

All other activities, including PM games, are being pushed back until tomorrow.

It's just a little vague since tonight's game are technically considered tomorrow.

the server started going up and down around 3am and i was seeing all kinds of goofy stuff between then and now. sometime in the wee hours one of our teams changed to have a super weird color instead of their normal color. i don't know anything about what happened but the server was in all kinds of weird states throughout the night, sometimes it was down, sometimes it was half down, sometimes it was partially up and returning goofy windows and web server errors that probably shouldn't really be displayed to users.

when it came half way back up a couple hours ago, the forums were down, the main page was displaying 1 day old games, and there were a whole host of other things not working right. i think we should all take a few minutes to try some stuff and look for issues - it seems like they were recovering in stages which generally means some stuff falls through the cracks. i don't mean that in a demeaning way, just the way it is!

here's what im seeing so far...

1) the main page still shows yesterday's games
2) i cannot do any actions in tark, where recruiting was supposed to open at 8am. maybe its just unclear from the email, if that should have opened up yet? i was thinking yes?

Recruiting in Tark is delayed a day. It should be available tomorrow morning. Look at the World schedule.

ok that makes sense, thanks. i wasn't clear what the deal was there.

anyone else still have a private camp to do in knight... i cannot, it fails, wondering if its just me?

Not a good look for all our new guys coming in.... "so some days it doesn't work and it just crashes? This sucks I'm outta here!" type of thing.

On another note, did any worlds have a title game last night? I'm curious for my champions thread. Not sure if it will ever show the teams/names on the main page with whatever happened with the site.

Nope but Knight's championship would have been tonight. It's tomorrow night instead now.

if you are interested in checking the accuracy i can give you a programmatically generated list to compare to?

Calm down about the outage. We all know this was a very rare event.
