i used to post these longest streak lists from time to time, but it has been an eternity, i figured i may as well. i sort of forget the disclaimers i used to attach to these, but the big one is this whole program is structured to find the best score for each school and then compare those - so if you did something awesome at a school, and someone else did something more awesome at that same program, you are out of luck. also there are probably some bugs in the parsing and such because i was kind of lazy so don't hesitate to call me out on inaccuracies!

Wow this is a lot. Under "consecutive national championships for D2" you have me listed at 3 for Millersville. I went back to back once and I won 3 in 5 seasons. But never 3 in a row.

its perhaps a bit confusing but the title game appearances shows you with 3 and the championships shows you with 2 - which sort of sounds like what you are saying? can you confirm either way - its very possible there are parsing errors, that kind of goes with the territory when you parse something ugly without access to the generation spec or program!

Nevermind! The "3" was the world number. I read it wrong

you know whats crazy? that d1 4peat by simai at arizona in world 3. i am blown away that it exists. it also never got picked up properly in the previous streaks lists - and its not like i went to fix it - the first team in the list crashed the program 10 different ways, but once i fixed those (15m total), it just ran to completion for the other 10,000 programs without incident. then i saw that d1 4peat. i was like no way, this must still be broken - if the simai had a d1 4peat, surely i would know about it! but no. not only was i in the dark for 12 years about simai's greatest achievement, but also this stupid program was broken from the beginning of time until now.

I always wondered how many other people had back-to-back NC's in D3. Neat to see my name among such elite company. Kind of surprised no one has pulled off 4 in a row. With the right class balances it's definitely possible...if I had played smarter the seniors on my season 68 squad were good enough for an NC run and a 3-peat but the prominent youth on my team & low IQ's led us to a 2nd round exit after having nabbed back-to-backs (the second one was an undefeated run too, I had something like a 58 game win streak, don't think I'll ever do that again even with the world #'s low).

That's a serious collection of data. Incredible what some have achieved. Sad to see my sweet16 streak end last season at 10, but nice to represent a D- baseline prestige in the sea of A+'s.

that is pretty awesome! i have considered running a mid major only list as well, because while its neat for the folks with really good mid majors to see where they stand in the record books on an equal basis to bcs... that is like 2 people. just so many good bcs programs over the years that it drowns them out. i'll probably have to do 3.0 only at some point too because the worlds are so empty now, its damn near impossible for coaches today to beat the scores of coaches from years ago, because this stuff (not the streaks but everything else) has a world strength component that was intended to even the field between worlds with 150 vs 200 guys and such. i never contemplated a world with, i think it was 47 i saw as the low. on one hand im thinking world strength component may be a little too strong but on the other hand, only completely axing it would give folks in a 50 person world a chance at passing a top program from a 200 person world. if anyone has any thought on how to deal with that, im struggling with it a bit myself, would appreciate the feedback.

i also do think d+ is the minimum baseline in d1 but i could be wrong about that!

it is interesting that there are 5peats in d1/d2 but 3 max in d3, when in the early days it was always d2/d3 that had more 3peats and the like. i think its just sort of random chance in a way?
