Is there a better way to join our 1st open league together than taking a chance we're that 1 of 24 scenario of being put in different leagues even if we hit "enter" at the same time ? We'll both be ready in a week or less, thanx -

You can create a private league and join with your friends, and then it will open to the public after a week if it doesn't fill.

Or enter your teams at any other time but 11:35 AM and 11:35 PM. That's when schedules are generated. Otherwise you can easily withdraw a team after you enter it.

The trick is to create a Theme League, which lets you select the number of teams that will be in it.

Do you have a set number of owners locked in? You need a minimum of 12 (even number).

The trick is for the commissioner to create their team first; then create the theme league second; the invite their friends 3rd (so friends should NOT create teams/join simleague in anyway until the commish has created the league, which requires the commish to first create their team). Its screwy the way this works, but if you try to do it any in any other order, it won't work.

If you have a set number of teams that matches one of those formats, then you can build a "truly private" league.

We did this with 12 of us so we didn't get converted to an open league since we didn't have 24 owners.

It's just me 1 Scoresheet acquaintance checking this out while there's no other real baseball. Thanx Roger, and I would at some point like to join a theme league, but for now I'll try one of the the other options, although sounds weird if one of us is the last one in and the league becomes full before the other joins, sounds like a locked in done deal in formation numbers, unless it's still possible to withdraw even at that point.

Leagues are not locked until the schedule is created, which, as crazystengel noted, happens at 11:35 AM and PM.
