My targets with the 2nd round pick were the board lords or, if they were gone, Frazier (one of those guys whose value goes up a lot in this format, IMO). It’s gonna be tough waiting 24 more picks and watching all the good options go off the board.

if forced to choose between Gobert, Wallace, and Chandler I think that’s the order I would have taken them. Wallace is much worse offensively than the other two but has the most minutes and that 100 D. Gobert has the two single best seasons of that group, though, and those two seasons are so good that I think it makes up for the lower minutes other years.

Chandler comes up short on minutes compared to Wallace, and some of his good seasons are pretty mediocre on the boards, but overall brings consistently gets efficiency and good to great D. Pretty happy getting him.

I had no idea how many solid seasons Walt had before the draft. 6 seasons of 2900+ min, 90D, 51%+efg, 16% ast (2 over 21%), and 14% reb. Solid at the line, low fouls, 100% effective at both guard positions, 98% effective at SF. Not a single weak season.

I wish his TOV was lower and he shot more 3's, but 38+ min of 90 D at guard all 5 seasons was too good to pass up.

frazier really sticks out when looking for defense at the 1-2...lack of 3s for shaq hurts a lil tho

i had it gobert/chandler/russell/wallace/camby for my low usg boardlords rankings...mutombo would be 1st if i didnt have kareem

I am fine with Dirk if you already snagged a board lord, but I agree that the 2nd is early. 2nd seems wildly early for Jokic in this format. I have no use for guards that don't shoot threes but kinoa1 is possibly the best owner in SimLeague Basketball so I suspect he will sort it out.

I suspect it will be much easier to find 3 point bombers later on in the draft knowing I don't have to worry about defense or minutes. Walt just covered a ton of ground for me.

Walt Frazier was an UVA staple. If you don't know what that means, well, it's a good thing. A very, very good thing.

I figured people would sleep on Walt and had planned to go with him as my 2-guard if I hadn't gotten Klay in like round 4. He's definitely round 2 worthy, though.

Walt wouldn't have made it past me in the 3rd.

As it is I'm feeling obligated to take nine different players with my next pick. I would appreciate some help narrowing down my choices. Either that or someone just tell me what to do.

im a little sad i wont get to see 75-76 kareem and 93-94 mookie team up for a defense heavy squad...was already scouting possible 1-2 year defensive studs to add to them

Whiteside, interesting. I was wondering where he'd go. Top of the third seems early given that he's only got one season with legit starter minutes.

When he grabbed Dr. J and Hakeem, that is 100% the guy I thought would fall to him. The minutes gamble paid off in a big way.
