$110M: Progressive / Regressive
No restrictions but, in Round 2, you will be required to draft a 110M team that is entirely made up of the same 25 players + or - X years. X must be the same for all players on your roster. There is no requirement that all of your Round 2 players go in the same direction (i.e. +X years or -X years) — you can have both.

Other Specifics
Seasons: All
DH: No
WW: No
AAA: No
Trades: No
Clones: No
Injuries: Turned On
Multi-team players: No restrictions (i.e., you can use partial or combined)
Ballpark: Use a park one of your players played in for BOTH seasons you plan to use them. You must use the same park in Round 2.
300K Exception: No
Team Name: Reference your number for X
Division Alignment: Random
The ballpark restriction here is another one that I hope all owners are paying attention to - it definitely puts a restriction on your team for round 2 and I hope everyone designed their rosters accordingly. It's not reasonably possible for me to verify that every owner has chosen a valid park - unless you have chosen one that NONE of your current players played in. I've had at least one example of that in my league.
The Giants played in the same physical building in 2019. It is my intention to use that park in 2019. Right now AT&T is listed as 2016-2018 and nothing is listed for 2019. I hope that's OK.
Interestingly, I'm in the same situation with the same team.... 20 years earlier, where Candlestick rebranded to 3-Com park (and pocketed a few million).

It became Qualcomm, yes. It's not in use anymore, since the Padres moved to Petco.

I had asked earlier and it was confirmed by Ozomatli that as long as the stadium had the same ratings, you could use the stadium even if it just changed names over the course of your two seasons.

Wow — everyone got their teams in on time! We are only missing one team from marvin_katko (who has an extension due to joining so late) and two from markeking (due to some owners having entered the wrong leagues earlier tonight and the leagues being full when he went to enter).

Great job everyone. I'll be starting on roster verification soon. If you do not receive any sitemails from me this week/weekend then your rosters check out. Do NOT rename your teams yet. I will give the go ahead to do that (and post the roster selection strategies thread) later on this week.

The last trouble spot I will point out when I did my roster checks was the one about no 19th c. players in this theme. Several owners missed that one.

Roster issue sitemails have been sent for the 140M (25 issues) and Variable Cap (6 issues) leagues. If you did not receive a sitemail, your roster for those themes is valid.

I'll continue with at least one more league tomorrow.

I guess I'm not surprised there were that many errors in the 140M...I must have sent 20+ sitemails to owners about that one...but am curious what was the most common source of errors:
-- Combined seasons?
-- 19th c. players?
-- Franchise history errors? (i.e. using a player from the wrong version of the Senators)
-- Using a player from a 4th franchise?
-- Using 2 franchises from the same group?

That might make for a good side bet. Based on what I've seen on this thread, and the league thread, I can make a guess. I saw several owners corrected combined seasons errors before Monday. I wonder if it can even be narrowed down to the player.

That's why I asked the question...in a vacuum I would have guessed combined players...but I had all 24 owners in my league fix those before I submitted all the rosters to ozomatli, so at least 24 owners did not have that issue.
6/3/2020 10:59 AM
I had an issue in $140m... I had some extra $ left after i built my team and without thinking about it I clicked the name of a player with several great seasons and chose a slightly better season of theirs. Unfortunately, he no longer played for the same team. So, I had 4 teams represented.
6/3/2020 12:25 PM
For me it was the combined seasons for sure. Specifically with my scrubs. I’d just pick the 200k guy I wanted and didn’t realize it was a combined season.

What about spending $40+M on each franchise? I think that's what I had the most trouble with.

I’m just here waiting with my writeup. Are we still in roster verification mode?
