I have never seen such dedication to such a horrible schtick.

I’m genuinely confused lol. I have no clue what he’s trying to say and I’ve read it several times.

I saw some humble sharings in the profile thread. So I figured I'd share one here. I think this team had an argument for best D2 team ever. At the time I was just getting my feet wet (it was my 2nd ever title) and i didn't realize what i had. But although "overall rating" doesn't tell the whole story, i had 5 of the top 22 players in the country. And the ratings were worthy. And we finished with the 2nd highest rpi. I was proud because I saw other Coaches Corners mentioning it was the best team they had saw at the time. I know my imgur doesn't show ALL ratings. But it's all I had saved. I think I have 1 random screenshot of extended ratings somewhere. But it would take me forever to find. We started that season 700 overall as a D2 team.

I haven't had a superstar team since 2k travel ball unit and I was just beginning my managing career before all the Mob stuff took over. But today I get all that through out and have new teams and everything I think I have to move and my parents are probably moving to Blounts Creek but who knows.

that was a hell of a team. I like the 27-0 road record on top of the 35-0 overall record.

I almost think you'd have to differentiate by "Pre and "Post" Superteam era rules. Back before HD limited schools to 6 recruits per class, teams regularly had rosters full of 12 seniors. Unfortunately, those teams ratings are all almost certainly lost to the mists of time but there were several that I can remember that would have had a pretty significant advantage over the team in the original post.

Fair. When team in post has a full year of attribute gains, it will be by far the highest rated team I’ve ever seen based on how I’ve set my position role ratings.

It really was. And not having any extended pics of the ball skills and scoring categories are leaving out the real strength of the team. I know I have one I'll just have to dig really hard to find one. But that team was in the best D2 conference in Smith, based off history and dynasty rankings. The coaches have a combined 80-100 titles there at that time. Myself, arfy, snewell, devilowl, just to name a few, but all 12 were human controlled I think. Maybe one sim.

The OP has higher ATH/DEF sure (and he's a top notch coach too. Shout out to my friend vip!), but I haven't seen a team out that I feel was better than this one as a "team". I know exhibition isn't important, but we beat D1 #12 and #23 by 20+ points each that season in the exhibition games. Of course it was just preseason rankings, I don't remember how those two teams ended up. I'm one that doesn't believe ATH/DEF is "everything" anymore. I've had a D2 team with 77/77 ATH/DEF and still believe this Post roster would've easily beat them too.

I'll dig for a few days and see if I can find a full team screenshot. Without it, it don't do justice for that team.

If we're talking lower divisions I'll throw out my season 98 Iba Elmhurst D3 team. This is ported over from the Best RPI Ever thread. If I remember right we would have been the 2nd highest rated team in D2 by one point overall as well as being highest rated in D3. Haven't had a team that good since, wish I had taken a screencap of the ratings.

I've had a DII team with 75 ATH / 85 DE.

We got 2nd rounded by a Sim coached human team that of course had their centers take threes and of course all went 1-1 or 1-2.

Ouch! Yea the combo of 75/85 might be the highest I've seen. Especially the DEF. It's really hard to get 85 DEF as a team at D2. It takes getting Fresh with high starting defense.

I've started to believe that with defense there is a level of "overkill" (as in, how much better is an 85 team gonna be defensively than a 80 team really?) But that team shouldn't have been a 2nd team surely
