Does anyone have a clue about how WiS is handling the 19-20 release? Since only 22 teams are going to keep going, do we think that they'll just use the stats accrued before Covid, or are they going to wait and add in stats for the games played in the bubble? WiS might not even be sure yet, but I figure someone here might've heard something.
No clue, though I'm sure we won't get 19-20 releases until the season is over. I expect they will extrapolate stats over a full season somehow, just like they did with the 98-99 lockout-shortened season. If it were me, I would extrapolate the stats based on the number of games each player's team played; so if they got left out of the 22-team group, but played in every game their team played, they'd end up with a full 82 games' worth of stats. They may, however, end up extrapolating over the maximum number of games any team played, such that if the teams in the 22-team group play 75 games, but your team got left out and you played in only 65, you would have your stats extrapolated in a formula like 65/75 = x/82 (which would mean 71 games).
