LOL Ben Shapiro needs a safe space in sports Topic

Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro criticised American sports for being overly political and said he will no longer watch them.

“My place of comfort has been removed from me,” the anti-safe space advocate said, in reference to continued NFL discussion surrounding racism in America.

“It does make me wonder whether, inevitably, we are going to end up with two sports leagues,” he said during the Ben Shapiro Show on Monday, saying that player’s outspoken ‘political’ views are putting fans off.

“Whether at some point people are going to want a sport league that does not allow this sort of [political] stuff to impede the play or get on the field and people are just gonna view that.”

Discussing his love of Sports Illustrated magazine, he said that he was unhappy when the publication chose to put Caitlyn Jenner on the cover: ‘All of a sudden I’m reading about transgenderism in Sports Illustrated… this has nothing to do with sports.”

During his rant, Shapiro referenced his disdain for what he called NBA star Lebron James‘ “virtue signalling” as well as the long-running case of Colin Kaepernick — who was dismissed from the NFL after “taking a knee” during the national anthem in silent protest in 2016. This form of protest has taken on renewed significance during protests over the killing of George Floyd.

Ben Shapiro is literally the worst kind of person.

While I fully support peaceful protest and believe it is the right of every American to do so, I don't believe it belongs in any workplace, including arenas and stadiums, and that it definitely shouldn't take place during this Country's Nation Anthem.

Ben Shapiro is a major douche-ninny

So you don't support peaceful protest. Gotcha.

WhatEVAR Massa!

You really need to rethink this one.
The NationAL Anthem is a perfect (and most effective) time to peacefully and respectfully protest. Just as CK did, whatever his motivations!

Perfect for what? Disrespect!
Why can't the other 160+ hours every week be used?
Not sure about you, but I can't think of a single employer I ever had that would have tolerated me protesting on their time. Why should the NFL and/or NBA?
If players plan a protest and alert the media, they will have at least as much coverage as they do at games, when their focus should be on doing their jobs.

I fully support someone's right to protest the Anthem and Flag. You can burn it, change the wording, kneel or take a crap on the 50 yard line while it's being played/unfurled.

I find it incredibly disrespectful and cataclysmically ignorant but I fully support someone's righty to do so.

Thank you Arouet/Hall.

All3 doesn't support the freedom to protest. Come to think of it, neither does Trump.

Laugh at Ben Shapiro all you want but this is nowhere close to as bad as making threats (charges of racism, which in 2020 is about the worst thing you can call a person) against a respected, tenured professor who had the gall to treat everyone in his class equally. Reputation ruined, under police protection because a few SJW's can't handle any reaction that does not conform exactly to their narrative.

Trump doesn't support violent protest or dirty cops. I'm with TRUMP.

Yes, He does. I've seen him do it. With my own eyes.

I don't like the Eagles.
I do believe my eyes.

Funny, because conservatives are trying to take away our first amendment rights because a few SJW's get triggered over people "disrespecting meh flag". It goes both ways.
