They didn't specify, which I assume means both.
That's why I asked because that is a dangerous assumption.
There are actually four confederate flags. 1sr National looks like the state flag of Georgia except with a circle of stars in the inner corner (Stars and Bars.) 2nd National is an all-white flag (no symbolism there) with PGT Beauregard's battle flag replacing the star circle. 3rd National adds a large red perpendicular stripe to the outer edge of the 2nd National. Beauregard's battle flag (the commonly-called "confederate flag" with an elongated X with the stars inside the X perimeter) was never an official flag...much like the Gadsen fllag (Don't Tread on Me) was never an official USA flag
Depending on how NASCAR worded it, it may not ban all confederate flags...just the battle flag. Even if they did word it properly, people will simply switch to the state flags of Georgia and Mississippi. The point, as well as the image, will essentially be the same. I grew up in the only CSA state that did not lose it's Capital to a military attack. It was all state curriculum required study back in the day so don't blame me.
