Agreeing with RSP? Well...good luck!
Explain the Circle of Fifths for us then oh, young republican.

Farmhands? LMAO! Show me a farmhand making 10 mill a year.

You do realize every player is free to say "No." to the NFL, right? It is a choice they make. Who wouldn't rather play a game than get a 9-5. Most of them just got 4 or 5 free years of college education.

6/10/2020 9:20 PM
That post was incoherent and also wrong, all3.

NFL players have to make a lot of money because their careers are short and they have high medical bills to pay after said careers. Furthermore, most don't have skills that could apply to a 9-5 workforce because of the lack of an actual college education.

RSP's post was still on the nose.

Yeah. all3 is just all wet on this issue.

He's like a little girl who got told no to the doll she wished for and just can't accept that that's the way it's gonna be.
Hates her mommy right now.

All3 doesn't support the freedom to protest. Come to think of it, neither does Trump.
Trump doesn't support violent protest or dirty cops. I'm with TRUMP.
He literally said the people showing up to the Michigan Congress with guns were fine people.

Laugh at Ben Shapiro all you want but this is nowhere close to as bad as making threats (charges of racism, which in 2020 is about the worst thing you can call a person) against a respected, tenured professor who had the gall to treat everyone in his class equally. Reputation ruined, under police protection because a few SJW's can't handle any reaction that does not conform exactly to their narrative.
Funny, because conservatives are trying to take away our first amendment rights because a few SJW's get triggered over people "disrespecting meh flag". It goes both ways.
Its insane. And I'm sure Kaepernick never received a death threat either.

Perfect for what? Disrespect!
Why can't the other 160+ hours every week be used?
Not sure about you, but I can't think of a single employer I ever had that would have tolerated me protesting on their time. Why should the NFL and/or NBA?
If players plan a protest and alert the media, they will have at least as much coverage as they do at games, when their focus should be on doing their jobs.
Once again, what you see as disrespect may not be intended as disrespect by the protester. I don't know why that is so hard for some people to understand.
Kaep literally consulted with a military member about what that person thought the best way to protest would be. They said kneeling.

Kap was not very good his last year in the league. His team went, what, like 3-13? I feel like activists conveniently forget that fact
Oh This argument?
1. You can't put wins and losses 100% on a QB, especially on a bad team.
2. His athleticism alone made him a good backup. 3. He's had a better and more healthy career than RGIII. Still in the league.
4. Is Matt Schaub still in the league? Or Nate Peterman?

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick says he refused to stand during the national anthem Friday because of his views on the country’s treatment of racial minorities.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Mediaafter Friday’s game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

The 49ers acknowledged in a statement that Kaepernick sat on the team’s bench during the national anthem before their game against the Green Bay Packers.

Doug thought this helped his point.

I'm going to disagree with this take and play devil's advocate.

Is it possible that signing Kaep would actually be a + financial move? Think of the media attention, jersey sales, and ticket sales. Especially if done by a rebuilding team. I don't understand why we automatically assume that it's a financial negative.

For all the demands and threats, how many actually stopped watching the NFL for good because of the protests? I'm willing to bet that more would tune in to support the decision than would tune out, especially if you made it about politics.
It was a financial plus for Nike.

Tbf that last Niners team was a disaster anyway. You can't pin that solely on the QB.
No but team chemistry was lacking and a starting QB can be partially to blame for that. It's a leadership position and he didn't carry his weight, stats nor intangibles.
Wasn't that the year after Harbaugh got railroaded by their idiot owner and replaced by a nincompoop? I don't think the chemistry was on Kaep

16 TD to 4 picks isn't a bad statline. I'll take him over Brady, that's for sure.
that could be why you are not an NFL GM! LOL

My point is he and you are saying it was just about police brutality towards blacks. Did you just read the above?

He said he wouldn't "show pride IN A FLAG for a country that oppresses black people and people of color."

That's different than saying it's about police brutality against blacks.
