These are just a few things I've wished existed or found myself annoyed by from time to time. I know this game is essentially running on fumes and likely none of this will get changed, but I'd like to get some feedback from other players on similar issues you'd like to see fixed/revisited. In no particular order:
1. Player Game Plan screen: Allow coaches to see the potential growth colors for their players' attributes. I occasionally have a player with a relatively low PE rating(but green potential) and am OK with them jacking more 3s than a player with the same # rating with a yellow or red potential. It shouldn't require going to another page to see this information.
When using "Current Stats" tab to do player game planning, it would be nice to have an expanded set of stats to view. At minimum, TOs per game and 3FG%. Again, these aren't secrets. They're just on another page so you have to do an unnecessary back and forth to get the info you want. Also, if we can have words(Leave in Longer, Normal, etc...) to describe the different Foul Trouble settings, why can't we for the 3 PT. tendency? What +1, +2, etc... mean is available on the site, but again, you have to go digging. Make it easy for new guys.
2. Recruiting: Stop hiding the player attribute potential colors after a recruit signs with another team. I scouted the guy, and I can always find his ratings/potential from the categorized recruit page. It's not like this information is secret. The game just makes it more annoying to locate. Anyone with a season or two under their belt knows how to find it. I'm guessing this has something to do with signed players' ratings be revealed to everyone, so it's just easier to hide the ratings colors from everyone than to allow only those who scouted them to continue to see them from the player's profile. Still, it's silly.
3. Transfers: Make all transfers fully scouted for everyone. Again, if you have some experience, it's very easy to track down the ratings info for transfers without spending anything on scouting.
4. Practice Plan: Allow offense/defense practice minutes to be allocated on a per player basis. Having 6 upperclassmen with 6 freshmen and having to apply O/D practice minutes to the whole team to get the young guys caught up wastes a lot of practice minutes that could be used getting upperclassmen maxed all the way out. This system also devalues transfers/JUCOs. I rarely ever recruit a JUCO who doesn't already know my O/D, because I won't have enough time to get them to a good rating before they graduate. It would be nice to be able to recruit a stud JUCO and then have them hammer the playbook to get up to speed on the offense and defense.
I'm sure there are some unintended consequences for "fixing" the things I mention above. Feel free to call me stupid and let me know about those.
