Why do RP signed off WW have "any" MAX pitches? Topic

RP's signed off WW do not have a max pitch assigned to them. The default is "ANY"

Countless times in my current league where three "newbies" quit playing early, these guys keep on giving up 10-20 runs in an inning and often are never replaced. I've seen pitch counts in the 170's on them.

This should be an easy fix, but my email to the staff was answered, and not fixed from 2-3 weeks ago.

Pretty crazy if it’s true. Most newbies go straight to the WW once fatigue or pitchers struggle...I know I did...

That they would look into it. This is an easy fix and should be done in a day. He even said SP's that are signed don't have this issue.

I sent a ticket

I don't know software, or what is easy to fix. This program is 20+ years old. Many functions are limited at best. We shall see what the response is.

Do you have a specific example? The settings should carry over from what the player had set on the previous team. This may be an issue if the new team uses the player in a different role (starter vs. relief) than the previous team.

Thanks for playing on WhatIfSports.

What was he set at? Who else was available?

You need to continue to discuss this with Admin. Is difficult at best to be a go between.

When I sent a ticket in, the response came back and said this did not happen with starters. I've only seen it happen with RP.

It happened to me in my first season. I had a 90-72 team lost 39-0, due to this.

Every RP I've ever sign does not have a MAX pitch limit set at all.

I just went to research Jansen on his team. The "newbie" owner waived him and many other an hour ago. The box score says Jansen was a 92 fatigue, so it's not that. He did sign Reardon. Will see how that goes, but I did post a message for him to set MAX pitch limit on the RP's he signed.

This 30 run thing thing happened to him in his very first series as an owner to start our season. He made moves after Game 1.

He's had at least six RP give up 7-28 runs in an inning because of this issue.

I suggest you pass all info to admin, will better help you get a resolution than just posting it here. They don't follow these forums.

Just checked his team pitching stats, he had Tidrow and A. Bailey pitch 68 and 82 pitches in a game the last two days and they each got bombed for 8 runs.
