There is no way to set up lineups based on who’s pitching correct?

I have a team set up where I’d like my pitcher to bat first when he pitches...

On some of my teams pitcher bats 8, and 9 is like a 2nd lead off guy.

You could set that up every time he starts - would be nice to have that option though

Decent idea but the Tony LaRussa experiment didnt work in real life. I think there are many other options as discussed in other threads that would be more helpful. Just a matter of prioritizing what (if anything gets built).

Mind you this is an open league, but it’s not an “experiment” when bob caruthers hits way better than half my team..and cy...that league they’ll both hit first

Doing this with Caruthers right now . . . which you know, you're in that league. There's no way to preset the lineup so I fix it every time, he bats second vs. R and fifth or sixth vs. L (he's a lefty hitter despite throwing with his right). And yesterday when I didn't get to it in time he hit ninth. :| It's a bit of a drag to have to remember and keep adjusting the order, but if you're a micromanager (hi) it's a useful marginal advantage.

Lately I’ve been micro managing because of everything going on...but it would be much easier if there was an option for this...then again if I’m gonna short myself abs I better be there to manage them right.

In the end I went with caruthers and 1903 cy young and they’re both just gonna bat 1st. Save some abs and they should hit over .300....

Manually change your lineup every game if you can afford to login often.
Batting a pitcher higher than 9th saves on hitter fatigue. Not a factor in real baseball..
I think La Russa batting P 8th was a way to get Mark McGwire more HR by moving him up one slot. Unique situation.
