Beal, Manu, Walton. What is this world coming to?

My top 10 list would be: Wilt, Lebron, Steph, Shaq, MJ, Howard, Karl M, KAJ, Moses, CP3

This is based largely upon success I have had with them. Jabbar is terribly overrated/overpriced to me. The times I used him, there were too many games he would have 17 pts, 7 rteb, 1 block. His ceiling is great but doesn't hit it more than 10 times a season. I'd take Shaq over Kareem every single time because he usually always comes closer to his averages every game. VERY high floor! AND he's what, $2 mill cheaper than Kareem.

The ONE thing that the sim cannot take into account is Jordan's winning mentality. If it COULD, I would take him first every time!

Bill Russell would probably go a little earlier too

You know, actually I would like to see the $52 mill league go to a random order, because I realllllly think that those picking in the top 10 are really at a disadvantage. I should know because I have been in the top 10 PLENTY and almost always end up with a crappy team. The last few times when I have chosen "closer to 24", I really feel like I end up with a MUCH better team overall.

Amerk and all,

Sign up for the Vintages Draft League- in the classifieds. Random draft order!

so why did Camby fall? We all still value defense and rebounding, and Camby is no slouch in either department. His biggest weaknesses are his usage and eFG%. Offensively he isn't much more potent than Bill Russell, and you can argue that he misses less shots and leaves minutes to devote to better scorer while contributing "better defense" (ludicrous, I know, although Camby was a hell of a switcher with NY).

A few years ago two way players were valuable, but there weren't as many, so you could get away with a super efficient non-defensive player or a less efficient defensive stud (e.g. Hakeem, Garnett). Ten years ago Peja and Ray Allen were commonplace in OLs. Now, it's all about the two way players, as it should be. I think we're waking up to this, hence the previously unthinkable slide of Camby.

(With that said Camby is harmless on offense, and underrated as a low TO guy. He shouldn't go any later than the early 3rd)

Camby was a great grab, as was Jokic. I freaking love amerk's team so far, wish it was mine tbh.

Wallace brings more quality but a near 3 round difference between Wallace and Camby, comparable for what they bring, seems like too big a gap.

Well I just made the finals with KAJ last year, and he won MVP. Maybe you've used the wrong one? And price is pretty much irrelevant in the $52 mil. It's really difficult to have a salary issue.

That has more to do with the owners who end up picking highly than it does any problem with the draft slots. But in any event, anyone who doesn't want to pick in the top 10 can choose closer to 24, so I don't see the problem.

Thanks trey! I'm pretty damn stoked too! I wanted Ben Wallace with one of my 1st two, so to have Camby still there for me was AWESOME! Then, I couldn't think of a BETTER fit than Joker. Low post scoring, a few threes, good eFG and DReb and with his 25% asst rate, plenty of passes for open shots for Harden to maximize his usage and eFG. AND with Camby and McHale at the 5 and 3, I can hide Jokers defensive deficiencies. This COULD be my best team ever in this league.

I'm pretty shocked/thrilled to get Brent Barry and Horace Grant with my 3rd and 4th picks. They both went by the mid 3rd last draft. Together they add a bunch of positives (high efg%, solid rebounding and assists, solid defense) with virtually no negatives (low fouls and turnovers).

My team could not have come together any more perfectly so far. I have three guys identified as possible with my 5th round pick, and feel pretty good about my odds of one of them lasting. Here's hoping I don't screw it up.

Was someone posting team rosters?
