Fer crissakes man. Are you serious with this? Victims of what??? Being a dumbass who commits a felony, maybe, but I think a legitimate case could be made that you’re completely off the rails with this one Mr. Space Drink.

Are crimes a product of environmental factors or genetic ones?

Once again, I can't resist responding. One of the main problems with this country (and probably the world) is nobody takes any ******* responsibility for anything. You committed a crime? Oh, your mom didn't love you enough, your dad beat you, your neighbors made fun of you. **** that. Take some responsibility for your actions. Many people have Mom's that didn't love them enough or dad's that beat them or were bullied by people. How come they aren't all criminals? I was bullied as a kid, and I am not a criminal. TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY!!

Bye again

I can simultaneously acknowledge that felons should be in prison and should have responsibility for their crimes while saying that their crimes are a result of environmental factors.

Not sure how this relates.

That's terribly non-PC of you wylie, so of course I agree with every word. I'd put the worthlessness of my "father" against anyone's. I'd have been a million times better-off had he not been around, so don't anyone even try to feed me some kind of worthless BS about extra forgiveness for those without. Sure having both parents living in harmony would be ideal, but unfortunately that isn't reality for many. That doesn't make it any less wrong for them to make bad choices.

I kinda agree with tang on this one.

There do seem to be people with some genetic predisposition to criminality, but most criminals seem to just be desperate. You are many times as likely to be charged with or convicted of a felony if you are below the poverty line than if you're at median income or above. That's just a fact. Poverty is by far the leading cause of criminality in the United States.

However, the same could be said about racism. I highly doubt it's genetic - or rather, that significant variations in it are genetic. Very few people I've known are more racist than their parents. If you're going to claim that we should view criminals as victims, why should we not also view racists as victims? In both cases the individuals involved had a choice, but in both cases the deck was stacked against them.

When coreander suggested we should take down all statues of the founding fathers because many were slaveholders, everyone jumped all over him and said they were simply a product of their environment. How does that differ from the typical racist today?

lol looney tunes bonkers land

”taxes should be higher for millionaires especially the top .1%”

It’s basically what you said but in English, translatable, and sane.

Coreander has to get better at optics.

As for dahs, I will agree that most racists are probably victims, especially ones who have grown up in racist households. It's taught to them from a young age. Of course, if you commit a felony, you have to live with that for the rest of your life. If you are racist, you can change your mind at any point.

Or how about this: there should be no millionaires until everyone is a millionaire. It's cute how you want to put the smallest of bandaids on an absolutely corrupt and systemically unfair system. Cute

Yeah, people who sit on their azz drinking beer , playing video games and/or doing drugs all day should be handed just as much money as those who work hard 40 hours a week. This dude is truly a cult-driven lunatic -IF he's for real.
