Tumbled from 8th to 23rd. Hope the bleeding stops soon

Getting to be time for JT's annual rant. 8th place after 90 games. Now 16 wins back being in the Top 8. At that point, one team was 1 win away from being the top team in the theme. Another was 3 back of the top team. Those teams are now 5 and 9 games back after recent slumps. Another team started 18-6 this season and was doing pretty well, but now can't win a game and is barely above .500 and out of a playoff spot now.

Hopefully we can hang on, but these random second half declines after really strong 1st halves, when nothing changes, get really, really tiresome.

After starting the tourney off with 69 wins in the first 162, since then we've managed to play .500+ pretty much the rest of the way, and have almost found our way back to a winning record

Took until game 116, but got our first schwarze of the tournament

In a span of 29 games we've dropped from 8th to 26th after another 2-4. 4 playoff teams down to 2. It honestly never fails. Every single season is the same old story. Sitting pretty after 90-100 games and then the wheels come off. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I'm all ears, because it's ridiculous. I know I have a rep for complaining about it, but I can set my watch by it every tournament. There's no way I should have as much success as I do through 1/2-2/3 of the season, and be so abysmal the rest of the way.

As frustrating as that must be, I'd rather that and a couple months of hope than to start 69-93 in the first 162, essentially eliminating you in the first couple weeks.

Still enjoying my teams and trying to finish as high as possible, but I'd much rather start hot and fizzle than fizzle and then stay luke warm

So just a bit of an apology to some I guess. The hospital sucks. Covid is not nice, wear a mask and I’ll try to not go into too much fatigue hell after a week offline to see if I can at least not drag a whole league down.

Nothing to apologize for. Glad to hear you've put the worst behind you. Hope you are feeling better.

As my teams play out the string as best we can now that the math is nearly impossible to overcome, I'll accept the small victories even. I've been watching each team flirt with at least getting to .500, and as of today's pm cycle I finally have 5 teams at .500 or better. A few days ago it was 1, so progress is progress. I'm up out of the 50s and into the mid-40s now. Cracking the top 40 by the end of the season would be a mild moral victory at this point.
