I also think you should double the playoff points (2 points per win) and make winning a championship worth 20 points. That way taking a team through the playoffs and winning a ring would be worth 52 points. Total possible playoff points for winning all 5 leagues would be 260 points... roughly equal to what the top regular season point standing would be. Total possible regular season points == approximately equal == total possible playoff points. And someone with at least 2 teams in the playoffs could potentially add 100+ points to their total, keeping owners relevant in the hunt for the Savage Crown half way down the power rankings and deep into the regular season.

Something like this. Under the current system there’s only two owners with a real chance. I’m in third place and after doing the math I need to win 2 more championships than both pexetera or kinoa1. I calculated it at <1% (using non-exact odds of course so there’s some wiggle room). Weighting playoff games would keep more owners in the hunt if that’s the goal.

I like where your head is for this. I was going to suggest a progressive points system where it was like 1 point for a 1st round win, 2 for a 2nd, 3 for conf finals & 4 for finals... so kind of close to what you're suggesting but not quite as much. I like your idea more.

I'm already on the list but I am saying I am IN just to be official. I dunno what the final decision is on at least a weighted lottery (based on Savage 1) was, but if it hasn't been made, I'd obviously be in favor of it! Hell, I finished 35 points outta last, the least you guys could do is give me a handicap in the form of Lebron, Wilt or Steph lol

I think it's clear the playoffs should be worth more, and winning a ring should be worth a lot more. For example, if Ben goes on to win 2 rings, then he probably should be crowned the Savage king. How can someone who wins 2 out of 5 leagues not be the winner? And that could possibly happen in the current point structure... there are several owners with 4 and 5 teams in the playoffs who aren't contending for the crown. With 4 and 5 playoff teams, the top 7 owners should all still be in the running (or entering the playoffs they should at least feel like they still have a chance to win), which means tarheel would need to be able to overcome a 62 point deficit in the playoffs--- not realistic with only 20 possible playoff points per league. However, 52 possible playoff points per league with 5 teams in the playoffs gives plenty of chances to overcome a 62 point deficit at the end of regular season.
