yeah I'm for getting started as quickly as possible. Any format that gets us started is fine, as long as I know what changes have/haven't been made

I like where your head is for this. I was going to suggest a progressive points system where it was like 1 point for a 1st round win, 2 for a 2nd, 3 for conf finals & 4 for finals... so kind of close to what you're suggesting but not quite as much. I like your idea more.

Division winners would need to get 8 points instead of 4 in this scenario btw or they'd actually get less points for winning their division than if they had a first round series that they won. I'm sure that pex was accounting for that, but it would be needed to be spelled out in the rules in case loophole hunters are on the edge and want to start some ****.

I've SM'd Kinoa and we're OK with the playoff point change to take effect starting this playoff series. I can make the change to the point totals reflecting 8 pts for a first round bye instead of 4 and update the leader board. Do I have a GREEN LIGHT?

im going full dictator on this change...no vote on changing it

but i am open to how we change it

right now several owners seem to be in favor of the scoring pex suggested(myself included)...so as long as kinoa doesnt object, we will change it to that for at least these playoffs...if other owners call for a different scoring method, we could vote on that in the offseason

I’m ok with full dictatorship, you’ve earned it. Although this sounds more like your being influenced by a few others. I’m not in the championship hunt so whatever you guys want to do this playoffs is fine I guess. I would say whatever rules emerge for season 2, once we start drafting pencils down.

However if I (or someone else) does get three, that person deserves to win in my opinion. I agree. I would have kept it the same for this playoffs but don't feel strongly about it since I'm not involved. With the new system, in the unlikely scenario that I win both leagues I limped into the playoffs in, I still wouldn't catch them if they didn't score a single point.

On another note, it would be completely ****** up if the overall winner didn't win a single league. Could that happen mathematically?

Definitely but under the new system it would be much harder and is very unlikely.

well yea thats true, im being influenced by kinoa and pexetera...if they want to give us the opportunity to make the playoffs a little more exciting, im all for it

but it was always going to be changed...theres just simply not enough points for the champion...i think youd agree there


and yes...the scoring wont change again once we start the draft
