120M: I guess I'm not clear on the draft process. Does the first owner picked get to select all 4 of his exclusive players at once, then the secnond owner picked gets to select his 4 exclusives, and so on? Or is it one player at a time until everyone reaches 4 players?

Question 2 clarification.

The owner who is picked first selects his four exclusive players. The owner who is picked second gets to see the four players he cannot take, so now he takes his four exclusive (different) players. Now the owner who is picked third knows he cannot select those 8 players. Does he see who owner 1 and owner 2 each selected? Or just the 8 players? Continue this all the way to the captain, who cannot select 44 players already selected. Does he get to see who each of the 11 owners before him selected? Because division alignment is already determined, it could make a small difference (for example, if I see the 3 other owners in my division have rostered 10 left-handed starters, it may change who I take).

I would hope the answer is yes, that everything will be transparent.

All four at once.

Yes, it will be a public selection process in the forums.

Whew! Just got done running 20 miles. I'm physically and mentally exhausted. Oh wait, I meant I just got done building the 160M team. Ironically, the last two letters I used were A and Z. And believe it or not, I didn't use Yankees or Giants. Not sure I want to even try to tweak this roster.

All four at once.
Do the captains pick their players first or last? With 4 players being picked at a time, it is a disadvantage to those picking in the bottom half in each league.

Captains pick list. That's the idea of the theme. The early picks, in theory, are the weakest of the 24 round two participants, and get the advantage of picking early in the process.

what's the idea behind all 4 picks at once as opposed to a traditional draft?

I think the concept is to give an advantage to the theoretical lower seeded round 2 owners.

I ran something similar a number of years ago in round 2 (except I had the top 6 round 1 owners as captains and we each drafted 3 division mates), and the first pick of each division got to select their entire 25 man exclusive roster, then the second pick got to select his exclusive roster, etc.

The database is large enough where I don't think the advantage is overwhelming.

Yep, exactly. We ran that theme in 2017 or 2018 also. Was a lot of fun. This is a twist on it.

Thanks - yes I remember that one. My memory may be off but I think it was a low(er) cap. Wondering how it will impact at a higher cap where the pool of quality players will shrink.

I don’t see how that’s a certainty though. Captain 1 could easily select owner #3 first and put him in the opposite conference. Then that owner gets top pick of exclusive players.

Right, but that's the fun part of this theme. The captain has to decide — screw over the other captain (owner #2) and give owner #3 an advantage, or not? When's the right time to pull the trigger before the other captain does? How well can you read the other guy?

The incentive structure for the captains is really whacky which should make it an interesting draft.

$70M question:

I'm assuming there is no miminum for real life PA or IP on the base team. Is that correct? (ie: If a guy had one AB for your team that year, you can twist him)

Just finished mine too.

First had my ‘perfect’ team that just needed a U with 501k left.

Had some Astros and Tigers players that fit if not for the decade restriction.

Retried again with a team I liked a bit less, that ended up being 84k over...

Finally had to make the tough decision to cut Votto from my team so I could use a 1930s Reds pitcher as a mop-up to finally fit under the cap by a mere 3k
